I wish I'd seen this video early, although I did manage (after about half an hour) to figure out where the clamp goes (ie. top of frame) and which way round it needs to go (so the indent at the top) . I made the mistake of taking it off and forgetting to remember how it goes back on ! Great video and it's certainly reassured me so cheers!

You keep saying "don't get hollowtech 2" but really anything that isn't hollowtech 2 or similar (hollow tube, bearings in cups outside of the bb shell, dub, any aftermarket bb/cranks) is total shit. It's hard to get a tapered bottom bracket that isn't garbage.

I Am planning to use a hollowtech 2 crankset for my eMTB. What I am planning to do is to 3d model and print an adapterplate to mount a magnetdisk of a BZ10C PAS in the specific BCD I got.

I would say that any bike made in the last 40 years has is 9/16" x 20 tpi. You can find different sizes on older bikes, but the industry standardized on this size quite awhile ago.

I have also the otg option and the wireless microphone SX8 is showing connected with my oppo mobile phone but not working.

I think this bag was designed for rain rather than complete submersion. A much better test would be to spray the bag with a hose (preferably not a direct stream) and checking after several minutes under those conditions.

Thanks for the detailed view, I thought I was going crazy. The cable entry point of the Alivio is different that other/older Shimano models. At first I thought the unit that I received was a manufacturing flaw but it is the new "shadow" design. The problem I have is that for bikes that have cable routed via lower chain stay, which most bikes have, the cables angle for entry through adjusting barrel seems compromised and therefore the bend radius seems inadequate. Trimming the sheath tubing so that it is a shorter run, like in this vid seems the only solution, but the entry through the adjusting barrel seems far too shallow and a recipe for poor shifting. Thanks Shimano :(

I think some of the most important considerations are where you choose to lock it, what you lock it to and having multiple locks. I carry two D-bolts and a "folding" lock. It may not deter a skilled , well equipped and determined bike thief, but it will Definitely slow them down. Choose an area that has alot of foot traffic and is well lit. Also, if what you are locking your bike to is easier to cut than the locks and chains, they will not hesitate to do whichever is most expedient for them. Lastly, a technique l also employ is to make my e-bike less attractive by applying lots of stickers, duct tape and spray painted fake "rust". The stickers are alot of work to remove, the duct tape makes it look like it's patched together and ready to fall apart and the "rust" makes it just plain ugly! Leaving your bike dirty looking with mud and grime also has a deterrent effect. Given the choice of one with a single lock or one with several "layers of protection", which is going to be the most likely stolen? Finally, the would-be thief will invariably choose the bike that has the highest resale value. Don't be That one!! Hope you find these tips helpful. Cincinnati, Ohio USA
